2008 Earth Day Poetry Contest
COATI KID'S CLUB
OF THE ARIZONA-SONORA DESERT MUSEUM
proudly sponsored our annual Earth Day Poetry Contest for school children grades 1-6.
We had over 500 entries this year, with winners chosen from each grade.
Students wrote a poem about the Sonoran Desert - how this place is their home, or animals, plants, endangered species, the landscape - whatever was important to them. First place winners won a free membership to our Coati Kid's Club and one overall winner received a free outreach program to their school.
