About the Author
Pinau Merlin has lived in the desert Southwest for 27 years and in wilderness areas for 14 years. Pinau shares her understanding of nature by leading natural history expeditions in the United States and Mexico, presenting interpretive programs, designing wildlife habitat and nature trails, and working closely with the Desert Museum on various education-related projects. She is the author of numerous articles as well as two other ASDM Press books, A Field Guide to Desert Holes and A Guide to Southern Arizona Bird Nests & Eggs. She was a major contributor for A Natural History of the Sonoran Desert, an award-winning ASDM Press / University of California Press co-publication.
